Kaustav, your poem is brilliant. I appreciate how you've taken something so mundane—a credit card statement—and revealed it as a modern-day moral compass. The shift from the cold, impersonal "Forty-seven pages of terms and conditions" to the almost intimate "emotional support EMIs in our heads" is perfect. It captures the bizarre normalization of perpetual debt.

Brilliantly written, Kaustav! 👏. You have meticulously explore the psychology of the common man like me and the subtle way our spending habits are influenced by rewards, cashback, points, higher credit limits and the constant temptation to “buy now and pay later.” Almost every line resonates with me personally. The most powerful message, for me, is the difference between “I can afford it” and “I can pay for it.” We often confuse the two until the monthly statement arrives.
